PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous fixed-bed catalyst reaction apparatus having an effective means for removing solid products formed and accumulated within a large-sized fixed-bed catalyst layer, and to provide, using the same, a catalyst reaction method for reforming a raw material gas, in particular a tar-containing raw material gas, with high efficiency.SOLUTION: A continuous fixed-bed catalyst reaction apparatus 10 is a reaction apparatus having an inflow channel 20 for a raw material gas of catalyst reaction and an outflow channel 21 for a reformed gas, and a catalyst reaction vessel 11 accommodating a catalyst, and is characterized in that it includes a catalyst 51 having through-holes, a center rod forming a catalyst series 13 connecting through a plurality of the catalyst and not impairing their mobility, and a retaining plate 12 retaining a plurality of center rod, and that the catalyst 51 has a shape in which the catalyst end faces adjacent in the catalyst series 13 are in contact with each other by only a portion of themselves and other portions of the end faces are open to the space in a reactor. |
