<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a computer to recognize a gesture by an image photographed by a camera.SOLUTION: A user performs a gesture of waving a hand left and right in front of a camera. A system is configured to: receive in turn frames 301 to 309 having the gesture photographed; calculate a gradation difference as to each frame and a corresponding pixel of a background image; generate in turn binarized difference images 351 to 359; synthesize the difference images to generate synthesized images 401 to 409; and, when determining that any of the synthesized images matches a reference pattern, output a predetermined command. The command is used for a control of a power state of a computer or a start-up of a specific application.</p> |
