PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for an optical laminate, in which an optical film and a patterned phase difference film are pasted together to make an optical laminate while preventing distortion of the patterned phase difference film.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for an optical laminate uses a patterned phase difference film having two or more types of regions which have different retardation or slow axis directions and extend in one direction, and includes steps of; placing the patterned phase difference film in a direction in which the extending direction of the regions is perpendicular to a travel direction of a roller; placing an optical film at a position facing the patterned phase difference film; and moving the roller while applying tension of no more than 10 mN/cm on the optical film in a direction parallel to the traveling direction of the roller to paste the optical film and the patterned phase difference film together by having the roller apply pressure on the optical film and the patterned phase difference film. |
