PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method and electronic equipment for embodying the same in copy/paste in the electronic equipment.SOLUTION: A copy/paste method in electronic equipment includes the steps of: detecting a first gesture when a cursor is located at a specific point of an entry field in a first application; displaying a catalog of candidate applications according to the first gesture; selecting a second application from the catalog of the candidate applications; opening a file of the second application to display the content corresponding to the file; detecting a second gesture for copying an object from the content corresponding to the file; and displaying the copied object on the basis of the specific point of the entry field in the first application according to the second gesture.
