PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an adhesive for joining a holding substrate and a piezoelectric element substrate together from flowing onto a diaphragm.SOLUTION: A liquid droplet discharge head includes a nozzle substrate 30 which has a nozzle hole 31; a flow passage formation layer 21 including a liquid chamber 21a communicating the nozzle hole 31 and a partition wall of the liquid chamber 21a; a diaphragm 22 which constitutes a part of a wall surface of the liquid chamber 21a; a piezoelectric element substrate 20 which has a piezoelectric element 23 arranged on the opposite surface of the diaphragm 22 from the liquid chamber 21a; and a holding substrate 10 which has a gap 12 formed at a part opposed to the piezoelectric element 23, and is joined to the piezoelectric element substrate 20 with an adhesive. The piezoelectric element substrate 20 includes a joint projection 25, having a plurality of steps on a side face, at the place where the holding substrate 10 is joined. |
