PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a booster which is capable of preventing inflow of a large amount of currents and easily controlling operation in the case where an input voltage is boosted, and capable of using a lightweight and inexpensive wire for connection and of which the arrangement is not restricted, and a power unit with the booster.SOLUTION: In a booster 12, by repeating ON/OFF of an FET 21 of which the drain is connected to one end of a coil L1 and which functions as a switch, a voltage applied between another end of the coil L1 and a source of the FET 21 is boosted. A generation circuit 22 generates a pulse signal of a duty which is made high/low in accordance with a high/low voltage boosted by the booster 12, and a limiter circuit 23 limits the duty of the pulse signal to be generated to equal to or lower than a predetermined value. In the booster 12, the FET 21 is turned on/turned off by using the pulse signal of which the duty is limited by the limiter circuit 23. |
