PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image projector having improved energy efficiency and image contrast.SOLUTION: A plurality of light sources 12 having different wavelength bands are provided, and an imaging device 16 is configured to modulate incident light according to video image data 18 and output modulated light. A projection lens 20 can be arranged to project the modulated light, and an optical combiner 24 is disposed between the light sources 12 and the imaging device 16, and each of a plurality of holographic devices 14 includes a plurality of different holographic elements which can be selectively located in an optical path extending between one of the light sources 12 and the optical combiner 26. Each of the holographic elements can define a light-shaping hologram. A controller 28 is configured to selectively locate the holographic elements of the plurality of holographic devices 14 on the basis of the video image data 18. |
