PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector safety device or the like which can improve safety and user-friendliness.SOLUTION: A projector safety device is provided on a projector including: a projection part which projects an image by outputting projected light to a projection body; and a distance measurement part which measures a distance from the projector to a sample located between a projection port of the projected light and the projection body. The projector safety device includes: an area determination part which determines whether the sample is located in a non-safety area or not on the basis of a test result of the distance measurement part; and a projected light control part which dims or turns off projected light from the projection part when the area determination part determines that the sample is located in a non-safety area. |
