PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article holding device capable of improving usability of a pair of vertically slender article holding bodies disposed at an interval.SOLUTION: An article holding device 1 includes: an upper rail 30 which is disposed substantially horizontally on a ceiling 2 side and in which a guide groove 31 in a longitudinal direction is provided; and a pair of vertically slender article holding bodies 10 and 10 slidable in the longitudinal direction of the upper rail respectively, and also having article holding parts 16 and 16 respectively. At upper ends of the pair of article holding bodies, upper guide parts 20 and 20 are provided respectively having engaging parts 25, 25, 25 and 25 which are formed largely in such a manner that they extend in a slide direction further than a dimension in the slide direction of each article holding body, and which are guided by being accommodated in the guide groove of the upper rail, at both end parts 24, 24, 24 and 24 in the slide direction. |
