PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably transmit an uplink optical signal in a PON system.SOLUTION: A PON system 10 comprises: an OLT 14 which notifies each ONU of a light receiving level from each ONU and a request light receiving level; and each ONU which calculates transmission line loss from each ONU to the OLT 14 on the basis of the light receiving level notified of from the OLT 14 and a light transmission level of each ONU, determines a light transmitting level required in order to make the light receiving level at the OLT 14 approximately agree with the request light receiving level on the basis of the calculated transmission line loss and the request light receiving level notified of from the OLT 14, and transmits an optical signal of the determined light transmitting level. |
