PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further reduce power consumption while allowing calculation of an absolute steering angle at the time of ignition off, relating to an electric power steering device.SOLUTION: A micro computer 30 is in a sleep mode when ignition becomes off state. Therefore, power consumption of the micro computer 30 can be reduced. Further, when the micro computer 30 determines that a steering 10 is rotation-operated while the ignition is in off state through detection result of a torque sensor 5, it releases the sleep mode and comes into an absolute steering angle monitor mode in which an absolute steering angleθa can be calculated. Thus, when the ignition is in off state, it is suppressed that an absolute steering angleθa that is calculated is deviated from an actual absolute steering angle. |
