The present invention relates to a method of preparing aluminum titanate including a chemical composition of 9.0 to 12.0 mol% of SiO_2, 1.0 to 4.0 mol% of ZrO_2, 4.0 to 8.0 mol% of Mg, 43.0 to 49.0 mol% of Al_2O_3 and 33.0 to 39.0 mol% of TiO_2. The aluminum titanate of the present invention not only has a low thermal expansion coefficient and a high corrosion resistance, but also has a high strength and high decomposition stability under high temperature. |
