PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of energy, compared with conventional ammonia synthesis, and miniaturize the reactor, compared with conventional reactors.SOLUTION: A catalyst for ammonia synthesis contains a catalyst active ingredient and a zirconium-containing complex oxide used in synthesizing ammonia by introducing nitrogen and hydrogen as raw material gases into a reactor which includes a pair of electrodes, voltage application means of applying a voltage to the electrodes, a catalyst arranged between the electrodes, a raw material gas introduction inlet for introducing raw material gases into a reactor arranged with the catalyst and a gas discharge outlet for discharging an ammonia-containing gas from the reactor and applying a voltage not generating discharge between the electrodes. |
