<p>When at least one imaging technique is used, a marker which helps to discern a position for a device such as an expandable stent in a vascular structure of a patient has a long body made of a biocompatible radiopaque material for improving the positional discerning of the marker. The body includes: a first end; a second end; an internal surface; an external surface; and at least two facing edges extended between the first end and the second end and constituting a boundary part between the internal surface and the external surface. The internal surface of the body restricts a path extended between the first end and the second end. In a first position, the body restricts gaps between the two or more facing edges, and the gaps enable a path with the external surface of the body to be connected and to not be blocked. In a second position, the gaps are blocked so that the connection of the path with the external surface of the body is actually prevented.</p> |
