Disclosed are a system and a method for providing a remote user interface (RUI) service which can improve server accessibility on the internet. The system for providing an RUI using a home network proxy server according to an aspect of the present invention, which is a home network system for providing an RUI from a server on the internet, comprises an RUI client terminal session-connected to an RUI internet server to receive and display an RUI provided from the RUI internet server; the RUI internet server session-connected to the RUI client terminal by the internet to provide the RUI; and a proxy server positioned on a home network to provide the RUI client terminal with information about the RUI internet server. |
