<p>Disclosed is an apparatus and method for driving an organic light emitting display device which facilitates to control current consumption of a display panel according to a temperature of the display panel including a light emitting device or a surrounding temperature of the display panel, the apparatus comprising the display panel including the plurality of pixels provided with the plurality of light emitting devices which emit light according to a current, a temperature sensing unit for generating temperature data by sensing a temperature of the display panel or surrounding temperature; and a panel driver for controlling a data signal to be supplied to each pixel so as to make current consumption of the display panel be lower than a preset current limit value on the basis of input data and temperature data.</p> |
