The present invention relates to an injection sleeve air vent device for a die casting apparatus and a method for the same. By installing a vent hole on top of an injection sleeve of a die casting apparatus and discharging the air, which is located on top of the injection sleeve, through the vent hole, before the sleeve is completely filled up with molten steel by a forwarding plunger, the amount of air contained in an object being molded can be minimized by reducing the air sent toward a die casting mold.
