According to the present invention, a method for manufacturing reduced iron comprises the following steps: 1) preparing iron raw materials and coal ashes; 2) mixing the iron raw materials with the coal ashes; 3) manufacturing coal briquettes by forming a mixture of the iron raw materials and coal ashes; 4) manufacturing the reduced iron by plastic-working and heat-treating the coal briquettes; 5) cooling the reduced iron; and 6) adjusting oxygen density to be below 10% when cooling the reduced iron. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the amount of carbon in the reduced iron which is removed due to a combustion reaction with the oxygen when being cooled is minimized, so that the invention is capable of improving a reduction rate by minimizing the re-oxidization of the reduced iron. |
