PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil filter for allowing stand-alone confirmation that the fastening of the oil filter to be mounted is completed.SOLUTION: An oil filter 1 to be threaded and mounted as a replacement component onto an engine 2 includes: a housing 4 which has an oil inflow port 9 and an oil outflow port 10, and inside which a filtration element 7 is stored; and a gasket 5 provided on the bottom side of the housing for sealing a space between the housing and the engine. On the bottom side of the housing, a spring plate 6 is provided which is reversed with the gasket pressed when fastening torque reaches a predetermined specified value during mounting the oil filter on the engine. |
