System and method for displaying digital content on a display device comprising at least one digital content item, configured to be displayed on the display device, a service cloud, comprising a server, memory, and processor, configured to store the digital content item as one or more encrypted slices, and a crypto controller, running on the service cloud server, configured to download a cypher key stored in the service cloud memory. The cypher key is configured to be encoded with a unique identification corresponding to the display device and lock the digital content item to that display device. The service cloud processor is configured to retrieve the encrypted slices, assemble the slices into one or more encrypted particles, and send the encrypted particles and the cypher key to the display device for assembly by the cypher key into the digital content item using an activation code provided by the crypto controller.

1. A system for displaying digital content on a first display device comprising a processing controller, a memory, and a display screen, the system comprising:
at least one digital content item, configured to be displayed on the first display device; a service cloud, comprising a server, a memory, and a processor, configured to store said at least one digital content item as a plurality of encrypted slices; and a crypto controller, running on said server of said service cloud, configured to download a cypher key from a key vault stored in said memory of said service cloud; wherein said cypher key is configured to be encoded with a unique identification corresponding to the first display device and to lock said at least one digital content item to the first display device; wherein said processor is configured to retrieve said plurality of encrypted slices of said at least one digital content item; wherein said processor is configured to reassemble said one or more encrypted slices into a plurality of particles of said at least one digital content item, said particles being larger than said slices; wherein said processor is configured to encrypt said plurality of particles and send said plurality of particles and said cypher key to the processing controller of the display device; and wherein, upon receipt of a request to display said at least one digital content item on the display device, said processor is configured to send, to the processing controller of the first display device, an activation code provided by said crypto controller for reassembly of said at least one digital content item from said plurality of encrypted particles for display on the first display device.
