In one instance, a system provides an electronic marketplace that matches designers, who can be geographically dispersed and who submit fashion designs into the system, with retailers and fashion companies, who are looking for designs to make finished garments and sale. The system can optionally include factories so that the designer, retailer can have the factories immediately fabricate the selected designs. Optionally, it may also include boutiques that are specialized version of the retailers looking for a particular product for a niche group or market. Other systems and methods are presented. |

1. A computer-implemented method for creating an online design marketplace, the method comprising:
validating a plurality of designers as members of a plurality of approved designers using a data processing system; receiving into the data processing system a first plurality of available designs from the plurality of designers; validating, via the data processing system, a plurality of design purchasers as members of a plurality of approved purchasers; presenting, via the data processing system, in response to a request, a second plurality of available designs to a first design purchaser of the plurality of design purchasers; providing, via the data processing system, at least one design of the second plurality of available designs to the first design purchaser in exchange for purchase compensation from the first design purchaser; and wherein the data processing system comprises:
one or more memories for holding data and instructions,one or more processors associated with the one or more memories. |
