Embodiments of the present invention relate to a method and device for implementing a non-centralized clustering mechanism. The method comprises: a first wireless device in a first channel reserves multiple first scheduling service periods in a first data transmission period; during the first scheduling service periods, the first wireless device switches self over to a second channel and transmits a probe frame in the second channel, the probe frame comprising a cluster probing cell, and the first wireless device reserves multiple second scheduling service periods corresponding to the first scheduling service periods in a second data transmission period on the basis of timing information comprised in the cluster probing cell; when a response frame transmitted by a second wireless device is received during the second scheduling service periods, the first wireless device utilizes an expanded cluster report cell comprised in the response frame to identify whether or not an empty beacon scheduling service period is present; and, if the empty beacon scheduling service period is present, then the first wireless device transmits a beacon frame during the empty beacon scheduling service period, thus adding the first wireless device into the non-centralized cluster where the second wireless device is located. |
