[Problem] To provide a low-cost hot water supply device which avoids the risk of a shortage of hot water without attaching a temperature detector and the like to a hot water storage tank and enables the use of an existing hot water storage tank. [Solution] The temperature of water that has gotten into a heat pump device (2A) for heating water that has gotten therein from a hot water storage tank (1) and returning the heated water to the hot water storage tank (1) is detected by a thermostat (21), the operation of the heat pump device (2A) is stopped when the temperature of the water becomes a predetermined water temperature or higher, and after a predetermined time (for example, six hours) from the stop of the operation of the heat pump device (2A), the heat pump device (2A) is actuated (turned on). Consequently, by appropriately setting the operation interval of the heat pump device (2A), the risk of a shortage of hot water is avoided without attaching a temperature detector and the like to the hot water storage tank (1). |
