<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device capable of continuing, for as long time as possible at desired time intervals, interval timer photographing in which a plurality of images are photographed in succession at certain time intervals.SOLUTION: Provided is an image pickup device comprising image pickup means for photographing a subject and creating image data, power-saving means for reducing power consumption, external device connection means for connecting to and communicating with an external device, and timer count means for managing the passage of time, the image pickup device being characterized by having a timer count device selection process for selecting a device for counting a timer so that timer count is conducted by an external device for reducing power consumption of the image pickup device during interval timer photographing in which a plurality of images are photographed in succession at certain time intervals.</p> |
