PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant evaluation method which can be suitably used for evaluation of a lubricant used for warm forging.SOLUTION: At least a part of a test piece is subjected to diameter reduction molding by forward extrusion at a warm forging temperature, and the performance of a lubricant for warm forging is evaluated from a molding load during the diameter reduction molding. In a device for performing the evaluation, a cylindrical die holder 2 is erected on a lower base 1, and a spacer 3 and a die 4 on the spacer 3 are disposed inside the die holder 2. The die 4 is formed with a mold space 41 at a center thereof, and an upper half part 411 of the mold space 41 is formed in a large-diameter cylinder shape. |
