1. A method for searching or purchasing items, comprising:
i) displaying on a client internet enabled device a form for a user of the internet enabled device to enter first information descriptive of items that the user wishes to search for or purchase; ii) transmitting from the internet enabled device the first information so as to cause a server to search for candidate items corresponding to the first information available from on-line vendors; iii) receiving at the internet enabled device second information indicative of the candidate items obtained as a result of the search; iv) selecting at the internet enabled device specific ones of the candidate items, defining a first selection, and transmitting the first selection for receipt by the server; v) at the internet enabled device, repeating (iii) and (iv); vi) displaying at the internet enabled device third information indicative of an item list identifying multiple ones of the specific candidate items that the user has selected; vii) displaying at the internet enabled device a plurality of options available to the user for purchasing the specific candidate items on the item list from the on-line vendors, wherein the purchase options were generated by the server based on an analysis of the item list and predefined criteria applied thereto; viii) selecting at the internet enabled device one of the purchase options, defining a second selection; and, ix) transmitting the second selection for receipt by the server. |
