<p>The present invention concerns a device for mounting a traction battery to the body of an electric or hybrid vehicle. It comprises a parallelepiped-shaped hollow-body housing comprising, on one of the faces of same, a main slot turned in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and a plurality of secondary slots intersecting the main slot at right angles, all turned in the transverse direction of the vehicle. It also comprises a pin comprising a rod and a broad head, the rod passing through the body of the housing via the main slot in same, the broad head bearing, under the effect of the weight of the battery, on the face of the housing comprising the slots. The pin is capable of moving longitudinally to the vehicle in the main slot in case of a frontal impact between the vehicle and a first obstacle. The pin is capable of moving transversely to the vehicle into one of the secondary slots in case of a side impact between the vehicle and a second obstacle.
