<p>This rotating electrical machine unit is provided with: a rotating electrical machine; and a cooling device for cooling the rotating electrical machine. The cooling device is provided with: cooling-passage-forming parts which form, along an outer surface of a housing, cooling passages for a coolant to be evaporated by heat generated by the rotating electrical machine; a condenser for condensing coolant vapour obtained as a result of the evaporation in the cooling passages; and return-passage forming parts which form return passages for returning, to the cooling passages, the coolant condensed by the condenser. The coolant level in the cooling passages is set so as to be higher than an apex of the housing. The cooling-passage forming parts are formed such that: the coolant flowing in the cooling passages gradually rises from a bottom part of the housing to the coolant level; and an inclination angle with respect to a virtual horizontal plane consecutively joining centres of the cooling passages is greater than 0˚and less than 180˚. The cooling passages are respectively formed such that the coolant flows from one end of an area to be cooled in the outer surface of the housing to another end the area to be cooled in the outer surface of the housing. A plurality of the cooling passages are formed in the area to be cooled.</p> |
