PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detector, a program, and an integrated circuit capable of appropriately detecting an axial symmetrical object in an image without performing complicated threshold processing regardless of a processing object image.SOLUTION: An object detector 2 includes: a processing object region determination part 22; a variance acquisition part 23; a matching determination part 24; and an object region detection part 25. The processing object region decision part 22 sets a symmetry axis in an image region included in the image, and divides the image region into a determination image region and a reference image region so as to be linearly symmetrical about the symmetry axis. The variance acquisition part 23 acquires a degree of variance of an image feature quantity of the image region. The matching determination part 24 acquires a matching value with the determination image region and the reference image region, and determines symmetry on the symmetry axis of the determination image region and the reference image region on the basis of a correction matching value in which the acquired matching value is corrected by the degree of variance. The object region detection part 25 detects the image region which is linearly symmetrical about the symmetry axis on the basis of the determination result by the matching determination part. |
