PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame retardant resin composition that has a low environment load by virtue of low petroleum dependency and a high degree of biomass, has also flame retardancy.SOLUTION: A flame retardant resin composition includes a thermoplastic resin and a flame retardant. The flame retardant includes a phosphorylated lignin derivative having a nitrogen-containing structure introduced therein, in which the nitrogen-containing structure is introduced into the lignin derivative, obtained by subjecting a natural lignin to at least a treatment of molecular weight reduction or water solubilization, and phosphoric acid is added to the lignin derivative. |
