PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper body structure for vehicle in which the rigidity of a roof panel behind an antenna member, particularly the rigidity in the vertical direction of the roof panel is enhanced and the operation space for antenna member installation is secured while providing for vehicle weight saving.SOLUTION: An upper body structure for vehicle has a vertical surface part 14a extending beneath a vehicle in the rear part of a roof panel 9 and is provided with a reinforcing member 17 joined to the front part of a rear header 15 which is joined to the front side of the vertical surface part 14a, and the lower face of the roof panel 9. The reinforcing member 17 is provided at the rear of an antenna member 13, and has a hat-shaped cross-section opened at the lower face side of the roof panel 9 in the front view of the vehicle. Flange parts 17C on both sides of the hat-shaped cross-section of the reinforcing member 17 are joined to the lower face of the roof panel in a cross direction, and a closed cross-section part 20 is formed by the lower face of the roof panel and the reinforcing member 17 in a front view. |
