REMOTE DEPOSIT CAPTURE COMPATIBLE CHECK IMAGE GENERATION IN RESPONSE TO MOTION OF A MOBILE DEVICE

A check image generator application generates a remote deposit capture RDC compatible check image. The RDC compatible check image is sent from a sender mobile device to a recipient mobile device. The RDC compatible check image may pass through a server and may be encrypted. The recipient mobile device receives the RDC compatible check image and forwards it to a financial institution for deposit.

a processor; a memory; and a program, wherein the program is stored in the memory and configured to be executed by the processor, the program including instructions for:
detecting whether the mobile device is in motion;if the mobile device is in motion, capturing a check image with a camera within the mobile device, and character recognizing check information in the check image;if the mobile device is not in motion, retrieving check information from the memory, and augmenting the check information with data entered by a payor;combining the check information with a nonscanned check image to create a remote deposit capture (RDC) compatible check image; andtransmitting the RDC compatible check image to a payee.
