PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient top coat processing mechanism.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a method which includes the steps of: determining whether or not a first segment in the segment list is a solid type segment and calculating a top coating value before being compressed and processed if the segment is not a solid type segment; analyzing colored plane constituting a display image of the whole paper space after being compressed and processed; forming plane for top coating based on the colored plane.
