PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reproducibility of a grey scale when displaying a multi-gradation equal to three gradations or more in a memory-property display element.SOLUTION: The control device controls a driving circuit that drives a memory-property display element so as to apply a voltage according to image data to the memory-property display element. In order that an optical status of the memory-property display element is matched to a gradation indicated by image data, a voltage according to a pattern of a voltage application in a plurality of unit phases including an erase phase, a reset phase and a write phase is caused to be applied, in which the pattern is a pattern that applies the voltage causing a gradation to be changed in a direction beginning with a first gradation and a direction retuning to the first gradation through a second gradation out of a first voltage and a second voltage in each unit phase, and when the gradation is a grey scale between the first gradation and the second gradation, the memory-property display element is caused to display the gradation in accordance with transition from the first gradation to the second gradation in the write phase. |
