An image processing device (12) is provided with: a palm brightness estimation unit (6) and a surface reflection component enhancement unit (7) that separate a low-frequency component from a signal that indicates a brightness value for each pixel of an input image; a denoising processing unit (13) that carries out denoising processing on the signal from which the low-frequency component has been separated; and a merge unit (9) that combines the post-denoising processing signal and the low-frequency component with one another and generates an image.
