Various product attribute information, such as the names of ingredients and the calorie count, is listed on food products and the like. Conventionally this information is used at a store to determine whether a product contains an allergy source for a customer. Furthermore, substitute products which do not contain allergenic substances indicated in allergen information for customers and the like are selected. However, with these technologies the user can only be offered substitute products which are stocked at a store. Meanwhile, retail companies have warehouses and purchasing power capable of delivering many more varieties of products than can be displayed in a store, so it is possible to present more products than those in the store. If it were possible to present more products than those in the store and to allow customers to search for and purchase those products on their own, there would be an increase in purchase opportunities, which provides a significant economic advantage. Therefore, the objective of the present invention is to provide substitute product information in accordance with the store information for the store at which a user obtains product information.
|
