摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate, in a system where a failure may occur and the failure is not always apparent, components of the failure by a probe from the outside.SOLUTION: Inspection with a probe results in determining a system to have a failure if a failure is in at least one component of the system apparently, and each component of the system has a state t which is 0 for normalcy and is a number greater than 0 for failure, and a probability that the probe determines the component to be normal is denoted as p(t→0) in the state t, and a ratio rof inspection with the probe resulting in normalcy determination is obtained from a plurality of inspection results of i kinds of probes. When the state of a j-th element inspected by the i kinds of probes is denoted as k(i,j), k(i,j) is obtained so that a ratio of normalcy determination by the i kinds of probes, which is expressed on the basis of a probability p(k(i,j)→0) that the probe determines the j-th element to be normal, is equal or approximately equal to the ratio r, whereby a failure component of the system is estimated.
