PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce consumption of a radio resource by promptly forming a gap.SOLUTION: In a mobile station device for communicating with a base station device, time capable of forming a gap for measuring a peripheral cell after temporarily interrupting communication with the base station device, having commonality between the mobile station device and the base station device, is preset for each measurement type. When notification indicating permission of measurement of the peripheral cell using the gap is received from the base station device, the gap is formed and the peripheral cell for each measurement type is measured in the gap.
