R1, R2, R3, R4, and R5 are each independently selected from hydrogen, halogen, hydroxyl, alkoxyl, and substituted or unsubstituted heterocycloalkyl, wherein, when contacted with a plant, the compound increases pathogen resistance or growth of the plant compared to pathogen resistance or growth of a control plant not contacted with the compound.
