The invention relates to a method for operating a control system (10), particularly of a motor vehicle, comprising the following steps: detecting by means of a pressure detection apparatus whether an actuating element (12) subjects a control panel (14) of the control system (10) to a pressure greater than a specified pressure threshold; outputting at least one confirmation signal by means of the control panel (14) if it is detected that the control panel (14) is subjected to a pressure greater than the pressure threshold; wherein the size of a contact surface area (22, 22') of the actuating element (12) touching the control panel (14) is detected by means of a detection apparatus; the confirmation signal is output only if it has been detected during the application of pressure to the control panel (14) that the contact surface area (22, 22') of the actuating element (12) has been changed by a specified factor. The invention further relates to a device having such a control system (10). |
