Provided is a transmission device that transmits a block signal that includes a plurality of data symbols. The transmission device is provided with the following: a data symbol generator that generates data symbols; a symbol disposing unit that, so that same quadrant symbols that are signal points for the same quadrant in a complex plane are inserted one symbol per one block at a prescribed position within each block signal, generates a block symbol by disposing the data symbols and the same quadrant symbols; a CP insertion unit that inserts a cyclic prefix for the block symbol; and an interpolation unit that performs interpolation processing on the block symbol after CP insertion.
