摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine in which an accuracy of detecting rotational position of a rotor iron core by means of a magnetic sensor can be increased.SOLUTION: A cylindrical part 21 of a cylindrical housing 20 to which a stator iron core 61 is fixed is made of a soft magnetic material, and located close to a semiconductor magnetic sensor 73 compared with a back yoke 62 of the stator iron core 61. The semiconductor magnetic sensor 73 is separated from the cylindrical housing 20 so that the shortest distance D1 between the center of the semiconductor magnetic sensor 73 and the cylindrical housing 20 becomes 50 or more times as long as a sum of a first air gap distance δ1 and a second air gap distance δ2. As a result, a leakage magnetic field generated from a magnet pole 52 and leaked in an axial direction is prevented from acting on the semiconductor magnetic sensor 73 as a disturbance magnetic field, and the accuracy of detecting the rotational position of the rotor iron core can be enhanced.
