PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that has a cover member on a side face, and can be transported during the transportation of the apparatus without protrusion of a grip part from the side face, while suppressing enlargement of an installation space.SOLUTION: A copier 500 comprises: an image forming unit that forms images on the surface of transfer paper; and a double-sided cover 31 that is arranged on a side face of an apparatus body such as a right side face 500a, and at least a part of which moves in a direction to be separated from the apparatus body so as to expose the inside of the apparatus body such as a paper conveyance path that has been covered. The copier 500 further includes, as a grip part for transportation of the apparatus, a right-front grip part 34 that is fixed to the apparatus body, has a shape recessed to the right side face 500a of the apparatus body, and is arranged at a position lower than the double-sided cover 31 within a width of the double-sided cover 31 in a width direction of the right side face 500a. |
