PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner conveyance roller which is a toner conveyance roller having an elastic foam layer on a surface thereof and improved in properties to supply and scrape toner to/from a developing roller, without drastically increasing the maximum diameter of a roller and to provide a method for manufacturing the toner conveyance roller.SOLUTION: The toner conveyance roller is the toner conveyance roller for an image forming apparatus including a toner image forming mechanism including the developing roller and the toner conveyance roller arranged opposite to the developing roller and used for supplying and scraping the toner and includes a roller part and a shaft part. The roller part includes a substantially cylindrical elastic layer composed of an elastic foaming body on the surface thereof. The density of the elastic layer in the longitudinal central part of the roller part is higher than that at both longitudinal ends of the roller part. A method for manufacturing the toner conveyance roller includes a process for forming the elastic layer by heat-pressing the crown-shaped elastic foaming body. |
