PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medicine container composed of borosilicate glass which has high mechanical strength and can sufficiently endure destruction in ordinary use.SOLUTION: There is provided a medicine container composed of borosilicate glass, which contains, as a glass composition in terms of mol %, 70 to 80% of SiO, 3 to 10% of AlO, 5 to 15% of BO, 3 to 10% of NaO, 0 to 5% of KO, 0 to 5% of CaO and 0 to 3% of BaO, in which a compressive stress layer by ion exchange treatment is formed at least on the outer surface of the container. |
