PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary joint having multiple flow passages showing superior durability capable of keeping a high seal performance for a long period of time and at the same time showing a less power loss.SOLUTION: A mechanical seal mechanism 10 for dividing a closed space Z between a rotating main shaft 2 and a flange 11 into a communication fluid passage X communicated with an internal fluid passage 30 and a cooling fluid conducting space Y sealed between a moving seal ring 12 and a flange 11 by opposing seal surfaces (123a, 123b, 141, 142) of the moving seal ring 12 and a rotating seal ring 14 is arranged in a linear manner at an axial direction Cl in correspondence with the number of passages of the internal fluid passage 30 in respect to the rotating main shaft 2, the flange 11 is constituted by a ring-like flange main body 111 at a diametral outside part and a retainer 112 protruded in a diametral inner side in respect to the flange main body 111 so as to support a motion seal ring 12 and the retainer 112 is separately arranged in such a way that it can slide in an axial central direction CL in respect to the flange main body 111. |
