PROCESS AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING A FIBRE-REINFORCED THERMOPLASTIC PROFILE, COMPRISING A STEP OF TENSIONING THE FIBRES DURING THE IMPREGNATION THEREOF

The production process uses a device for producing the profile comprising at least one impregnation chamber (6) and means for circulating the fibres from upstream to downstream of the device and comprises the following steps:•- introducing fibres (2) into the impregnation chamber (6) and circulating them therein,•- injecting a thermoplastic material into the impregnation chamber (6) so as to obtain a preform of the profile made of thermoplastic material reinforced by fibres (2),•- producing the profile from the preform. The process comprises a step of tensioning the fibres (2) inside the impregnation chamber (6), the thermoplastic material being injected directly onto the taut fibres (2) inside the impregnation chamber (6).
