PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unnecessary deterioration of a photodetector.SOLUTION: There is provided a microscope device 100 which comprises: a scanner 5 which scans illumination light emitted from a light source 3 in two directions, which cross each other, on a specimen; an objective lens 7 which condenses fluorescence generated on the specimen; a spectroscopic element 15 which spectrally separates the fluorescence condensed by the objective lens 7 into spectrum components; a multichannel detector 20 having a plurality of cells 21 which detects each spectrum component spectrally separated by the spectroscopic element 15; a grouping control section 31 which separates the plurality of cells 21 of the multichannel detector 20 into a group that is to be used and a group that is not to be used; and a sensitivity control section 33 for turning OFF the sensitivity of cells of the group that is not to be used, which is grouped by the grouping control section 31, or reducing the sensitivity thereof with respect to the sensitivity of cells of the group that is to be used. |
