PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which suppresses deterioration in light emission efficiency of a display unit, while suppressing increase in thickness of the display device in a front-back direction, and without disposing a dedicated reflector on a light guide plate.SOLUTION: A TV 100 (display device) comprises: a TV main body 100a; a display unit 10 disposed on a front side of the TV main body 100a and displaying an image; a white resin frame 2 disposed on a back side of the TV main body 100a, formed in a substantially rectangular shape, and including a frame-like inner peripheral surface 22a having high optical reflectance; an LED 42 for supplying light; and a light guide plate 8 formed in a substantially rectangular shape, having a light incident side surface 81a on which light emitted from the LED 42 is incident and which is a side surface facing the LED 42, and placed on the white resin frame 2 in a state that three side surfaces 82-84 other than the light incident side surface 81a are in contact with inner peripheral surfaces 22a of the white resin frame 2 or face the inner peripheral surfaces 22a of the white resin frame 2 in the vicinity of them. |
