PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a top roll polishing method which, while improving the product yield of a continuous hot-dip metal plating steel plate, can prevent the wear of a polishing roll.SOLUTION: A top roll polishing method moves a polishing roll which has the length shorter than the length of a top roll which conveys a steel strip to the shaft direction of the top roll, while making rotation, and removes molten metal adhering on the surface of the top roll. Information is obtained about the figures of thermal crown generated in the top roll, and the amount of push which compresses the polish roll into the top roll is controlled according to the figure of the thermal crown. |
